Semana 3:  el 15 de septiembre de 2017

9/15/2017

Resumen:
We took a quiz on the capitals of Spanish-speaking countries.  We brainstormed language for small talk and then we mixed up and everyone had as many conversations as they could with their compañeros de clase completely in Spanish.  We talked about the el Día de la Independencia Mexicana, watched a few minutes of last years' El Grito de la Independencia, (and yes, Nicolás, I wasn't thinking when I answered you, but most probably people were indeed paid to be there, and they are called acarreados).  We watched a video about making Chiles en Nogada, a traditional dish in September to celebrate Independence Day.  We reviewed the numbers 0 to 100 then played Bingo.  We reviewed the homework, focusing on the exercises on stress and accents.  We briefly looked at nationalities on Quizlet.

We will delay the due date for Learning Report #1 until September 29, because we didn't have time to discuss it. Next week we'll talk about it.

La tarea:
1) Prepare for 2 quizzes on:  nationalities, and the numbers 0 to 100 (based on the homework this week, and the corresponding Quizlet sets).
2) SAM Capítulo Preliminar #13, 14 (WBP-13, WBP-14), Capitulo 1 # 1-5 (WB1-1 to WB1-5)
3) Listening Manual Capitulo 1 #1 - 6 (LM1-1 to LM1-6)
