LR #6 and Rosetta Stone hours are due tomorrow (Tuesday) by midnight.  After Wednesday you will be able to see on Blackboard your final grade for the semester.

Tomamos un quiz.  Vimos un video de un muchacho en Perú, y escuchamos un pronóstico del tiempo en Bolivia.  Vimos cómo y cuándo usar los verbos SABER y CONOCER, y hicimos un ejercicio hablando de las cosas que sabemos y sabemos hacer, y la gente y lugares que conocemos.  

​El jueves vamos a revisar la tarea de "La familia Rosado".  También, vamos a revisar la tarea abajo.  Vamos a tomar otro quiz.

La tarea:
1) SAM Capítulo 4 Actividades 17 y 18.  Also...if you didn't do Actividades 5 and 8 for Tuesday I would strongly recommend you do them before Thursday's class.

Jugamos al Quizlet Live practicando el vocabulario de los meses, el tiempo y los verbos reflexivos.  Revisamos la tarea de la lectura sobre Machu Picchu, y del tiempo en diferentes lugares en el mundo.  Hicimos una actividad oral hablando de las partes del cuerpo: "me duele..." y también identificamos partes del cuerpo en fotos de figuras prehispánicas. Hablamos sobre la conjugación de los verbos reflexivos en el presente y en el presente progresivo.

La tarea:
1) Don't forget about Rosetta Stone. Remember, it doesn't matter what you choose to do (you can skip around, not only by topic and type of activity but also level) but you must do 15 hours' worth.
2)  Do the handout called "La Familia Rosado."  In this you conjugate reflexive verbs in three different tenses (simple present, present progressive and "ir a +infinitivo which we can consider a future tense), to describe the morning routines of the Rosado family every day, right now, and tomorrow.
3) SAM Chapter 4 Activities 5, 6, 8, 12, 13. If you have the electronic book, I recommend: Ch 4 Act. 6, 8, 9 (I hope to do Act. 4 & 5 in class next week).
4) That quiz I keep talking about keeps getting put off, but I will give you one Tuesday (really!) on: irregular verbs in the yo form, reflexive verbs, parts of the body, and the weather.

​We learned the months and asked and answered each other about which month our birthdays were in.  Revisamos la tarea de la cancion "El Perdon." We practiced inviting each other to do things and accepting and refusing.  We briefly reviewed vocabulary -- reflexive verbs and parts of the body-- and we began to look at how to conjugate reflexive verbs.  We'll continue working on conjugating reflexive verbs on Thursday.

Hoy es el Día de los Muertos en México. Comemos pan de muertos y hablamos brevamente de su significado y como ha cambiado en año recientes, más aún con la influencia de los Estados Unidos.  Hicimos el ejercicio sobre los adjetivos de emoción y estado de ánimo.  Hablamos de qué estamos haciendo ahora, y las maneras de formar el presente progresivo, y hicimos un ejercicio en preparación de escuchar la canción "El Perdón."

La tarea:
1) Estudiar los verbos reflexivos y las partes del cuerpo en Quizlet.
2) Preparar para el quiz sobre los adjetivos y los verbos irregulares en la forma "yo."
3) SAM Capitulo 3 Actividades 8, 9, 16, 17.  Capítulo 4 Actividades 1, 4.  Optional:  if you have the digital book and eSAM, don't forget about the Listening Manual activities for Chapter 3, because they are good ones.

1) LR #3 is due Friday by midnight.  Remember to follow the rubric and answer 4 others. OJO:  If you don't do something new, and I don't think you are challenging yourself, I will take points off! 
2) On the back of the handout you got in class, there is an activity called "¿Cómo son ustedes?  Answer it for yourself in the left hand column.  During class time, you will interview two other classmates.
3)  Do this short exercise for homework.  You don't need to print this out, just write down the answers and bring them in.
4) SAM Capítulo 3 Actividades 8, 9, 16.  Here is a handout on irregular verbs in the "yo" form. We will have a quiz on these 3 SAM activities, also on 12 and 14 from last week.
